Honda Siel is back with newer version of popular HONDA CITY.They have launch new model in Thailand and it is likely to come in India next month.

Tata Motors is slated to come out with a range of exciting new models during 2008. Their most awaited launch is the Rs-1 lakh people's car targeted at entry-level customers. The company will also launch a new version of its popular Sumo vehicle and the Xenon pick-up truck. Other brands of Tata, such as the Indica and Indigo will be upgraded with new engines powered by Fiat technology. There are also plans for a hybrid Indica that can be powered by electricity.

Hyundai has a host of cars lined up for a 2008 launch. The Hyundai i20, a premium version of the i10 hatchback launched in 2007 is expected to face tough competition in the crowded B segment. This compact car, with its unique European design, is marked at about Rs 5.5 lakh. The Santa Fe, a premium Sports Utility Vehicle from Hyundai, is also scheduled for a glittering launch in 2008. This muscular car, which will be imported from South Korea, is likely to be priced at around Rs 22 lakh. Hyundai may also be coming out with a new version of Elantra, an i10 with automatic transmission and an LPG version of the Santro.
Mahindra & Mahindra is also planning to introduce the new 2.2 litre engine for Scorpio in early 2008.The company's joint venture with French automaker Renault will bring second product Logan MCV.M&M will be queue for launch of its multi- purpose vehicle Ingenio.This vehicle may be offered as a hybrid option, which may be operated by both diesel and an electric battery.

The year will also mark Italian carmaker Fiat's second innings in India. The company's launch list for the year includes the diesel version of the Palio, the Linea and the Grande Punto.Fiat Cinquecento that comes with a price tag close to Rs 12 lakh.

THe new 800 is going to be the sporty and agressive exteriors and the classy bcoz the Cervo is a compact five door mini, that looks to put the other kids on the block into the shade.
This sleeky cute car offers 54bhp 660cc engine that boasts to offer peppy performance with great fuel economy.
Suzuki believes that they can price the car in the same amount given by Tata, they can do this by deleting some of the stuff available in the car, or by using a cheaper material to make it cost less, but, we doubt that Suzuki will use such cheap material so long as price is considered. There is going to be a lot of competition between these two in the below 800cc category.

outlooks
From the outside the Cervo looks like the Honda Fit. The lines and cuts of the car are neat and classy and the clean blacky covering at the end of the windows are cleverly made so as not to see too many holes.The headlights seem too agressive and getting ready to vrroomm and seems confident, well we can hope it really does. The Small mini SUV looks at the back, with an arching roofline, wedgy stance, slanted headlights and stubby bonnet makes out a new shape of itself and bound to be a great car if its priced is good and if its at 1L, it will be crazy selling.The rear is equally attractive as the front end of the Cervo is. The large lamps add appeal and character to the rear of this Suzuki.


Interiors
The interiors of this car somewhat looks like that of the much popular Swift. The rectangular air vents in the center and the circle open closed ones on the sides dont look even and looks a bit uneven. the colors of the controls lights up the dash. The boot is very small, but for daily shopping and office stuffs its just OK.

Seats at the back can seat only two and the third one can cramp up the place. A lot of storage areas are available to keep stuff in the front and find little at the back. Power Windows are airbags are available in the international markets but we doubt that it will come to India at that cost atleast airbags as an option would be better to make the car safe. In the outside markets this car is equipped with front semi-bucket seats,
4-speed auto gearbox a K6A DOHC engine with VVT, bluetooth capability.

Rumours suggest the new car to be launched sometime next year. If the pics on the google search is true, thats an awesome revamp to an 800. and Cars like these will be a success in India if they are priced well with high profile, the sporty and agressive exteriors and the classy and swifty interiors are bound to make the young gens and the ladies to force their cash out, the Suzuki's bet of combining performance with FE, this car will be a hit in Indian roads.

NEW CaRs tO BE LaUnCh

HYUNDAI-
1.Hyundai will launch a twin version of Santro, which till now has been under wraps with a codename PA. The car will be placed between the existing Santro and Getz and will come either at the end of the current year or early next year
The car now is assembly stage sporting the codename PA, will be positioned somewhere between the Santro and the Getz. The unveiling of this model is expected by early next year.
2. Hyundai’s diesel Santro, which is expected to sport a 1.1-1.2 litre engine, will be the smallest diesel engine in the country.
3.Hyundai Motor will also launch as many as three versions of the Getz in the domestic market. To be named Getz Prime, the car will come in variants of 1.1 litre and 1.3 litre petrol engines and a 1.5 litre diesel engine.
GM-- too will bring in diesel sipping Aveo and Optra.RENAULT--French auto maker Renault is planning to make a low-cost car for emerging markets like India that will sport a price tag of around $3000 (Rs 1,23,000). The price will probably be higher when it hits the road because of local taxes.

Mercedes Benz--Don't be surprised if DaimlerChrysler brings in its Mercedes Benz M-class to take on the growing popularity of the Audi Q7 and the Porsches.

Fiat--The year will see seven face-lifts and leading the way is the new-look Fiat Palio, to be rolled out from Fiat's Ranjangaon plant. ‘‘Fiat is gearing for a comeback into the Indian market,'' an analyst said.

Fiat will also bring in the new Petra during the year, but the big one is the launch of the Fiat Grande Punto, which could take place towards the end of the year.

Also in the line of face-lifts are the Maruti Baleno, the Mahindra Scorpio 2.2, the Honda Accord and the old-war horse Tata Sumo.

FORD DIESEL CAR'S

Ford Motor Co. will increase its presence in the diesel segment of India's fast-growing passenger vehicle market, but stay conservative in its new launches
High fuel prices and new launches are encouraging a shift to diesel, with analysts forecasting diesel's share of the Indian passenger vehicle market at 35 percent by 2010 from 30 percent.

Endeavour is an all-diesel range and more than 75 percent of sales of the Ford Fiesta are also in diesel, McCormack said. The Fiesta makes up nearly 70 percent of Ford's sales in India.

Ford will launch a diesel variant of its Fusion car in the third quarter of the year, and look at other options, he said.

"We are looking at new segments that are growing and that we can compete in with existing products or products that we can develop, like the Fiesta

Ford has sold about 7,000 units of the Endeavour since its launch in 2003 and has 38 percent of the about 15,000 units a year market for premium SUVs

New logan variants

The Renault Logan’s attractiveness quotient has been woven around the value-for-money proposition that the car represents. So Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has introduced two new variants, one each for the petrol and diesel models

The new variants will attempt to provide additional features that many customers demand in this segment either as part of standard fitment or end up getting retrofitted post-purchase.

Going by M&M’s observation that much of the sales of the Logan come from the variants at the top-end, the new variants will attempt to give more choice to these customers.

According to company officials as much as 63 per cent of the Logan’s sales volume comes from the top-end variants.

The new variants’ additional features for the interior include adjustable head restraints for the rear seat passengers, a trunk room light, manually adjustable outside rear view mirrors, front and rear power windows and a central locking system.

The other additional features include a rear door trim with fabric and on the outside, body side moulding, which is both meant to enhance the looks of the car and provide increased protection against nicks and scratches.

The Logan was launched in April with three engine options, including two petrol — a 1.4-litre and a 1.6-litre — engines and a 1.5-litre diesel power plant.

The Logan was launched with five trim levels. The new GLX and DLX variants are to be made available for bookings in all the current sales locations in a phased manner.

Verna diesel price hikes

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has increased the price of the diesel variant of its sedan Verna by up to Rs 8,350.

The company also said it will soon start exporting its flagship model Santro in completely knocked down (CKD) units to CIS countries, Russia and Taiwan.

"The price hike is applicable only for the diesel variant. The prices of the petrol variant will remain unchanged," a senior HMIL official said.

Under the new pricing, the base model of CRDi Verna will cost Rs 7,54,902, an increase of Rs 7,983. The top-end Verna SX ABS will be costlier by Rs 8,350 at Rs 8,26,910 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The official also said the company was in the process of sigining agreements to start exporting CKD units of Santro to CIS countries, Russia and Taiwan.

"We expect to export about 50,000 units a year," the official added.
